Chief Chad Hawkins
Thank you for taking some time to visit our newly renovated website. The Dunnigan Fire Protection District (DFPD) has a proud history of serving our community dating back to 1927. That spirit of service continues as we move forward into the future evolving along the way and modernizing. The men and women of the DFPD are here to serve you and are committed to providing the highest levels of service possible. Our mission is to protect lives, property and the environment, while improving the quality of life and safety of the community.
These words summarize what we do, but it is the men and women of the DFPD that embrace these words on a daily basis that continue to make a difference in our community. They do so with Honor, Integrity, Compassion, and make decisions that are always in "COMUNNITIES BEST INTERESTS". The DFPD is an "All risk" department, meaning we will respond to the needs of the community, regardless of the nature of the incident and begin the process of solving the problem to lead to a positive outcome.
I am proud to represent such a fine organization. I am impressed on a daily basis with the compassion and resourcefulness of the men and women of our Department and their commitment to the residents, businesses and visitors of our Fire District, Yolo County, and the State of California. As the DFPD moves into our next chapter of service, we will continually seek ways to re-think how we provide our service in an effort to be more efficient, more adaptable and more responsive to the needs of our community.
It is our commitment to you that we stand ready to assist you in your time of need day or night, with compassion, professionalism, respect and dignity.
